We headed for Missoula MT after an enjoyable respite at Chico. Hit town and right away took a hike up to the Big M (Mount Sentinal) overlooking the city and the University campus.
We stayed in a comfortable campsite and in the morning went into town to replenish our provisions at the Farmers’ Market. We talked to some of the vendors who all came from the same small village in Bellarus. Great famers. Joanne went crazy for the huckleberries.
After that we walked up the main drag, listened to street musicians, looked in at the People’s Market and stopped for brunch at the legendary “Oxford” where many of the patrons sitting at the bar were already half in the bag by 11 AM. Mitch ordered their long-time specialty, “Brains and Eggs.” We were told that because of mad cow disease they no longer serve this delicacy. The omelets we got, however, were very good. On to Glacier National Park.

That’s a great title for your new book – Brains and Eggs! We expect to see the more detailed account of your adventure hitting the shelves shortly after you return.
Really enjoying your trip if vicariously!
But you shouldn’t let Apollo get so loaded in the bars. Where’s his cowboy hat by the way??
Joanne, so many beautiful photos. I see art gallery in your future. Thanks for sharing.
