Joanne woke up early in the AM ready to move on to the Grand Canyon from Bryce.
Mitch was not quite ready to leave Bryce which he thought was great.
We said goodbye to the hoodoos and headed south. We arrived around noon on October 19th, at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, just days before that part of the Park was to close for the season. There already was snow on the ground and the main road leading to many of the viewpoints was closed. But the camping experience here proved to be memorable. Our site was on the rim sitting atop the Kaibab Plateau, 8500’ above sea level, which afforded us front row seating at an amazing sunset and in the morning the rising sun reflected on the canyon wall. There were only a few other campers and we felt like we had this very special place all to ourselves.
