We put in a long travel day after leaving Mustang Island, Texas and 470 miles later finally made it to Lafayette in the heart of Cajun country. We camped at a very nice park, the Bayou Wilderness RV Resort. It was one of the best places we’ve stayed out. That night we ate at Prejean’s for some decent Cajun cuisine and music. Sorry, no pictures for this day. The alligator Mitch ate was just too damn angry. Next Stop, The Big Easy.

Well, I’m standing on the corner of Lafayette
State of louisiana
Wondering where a city boy could go
To get a little conversation
Drink a little red wine
Catch a little bit of those cajun girls
Dancing to zydeco
