Since it was raining and the weather forecast was for more sorely needed rain throughout the mid-Atlantic region, we decided to drive the remaining 600 miles in one day. The pleasant driving we experienced from northern Louisiana to northern Virginia came to an end when we started to hit the congested traffic in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Folks seemed in a rush to get wherever, and some drivers would tailgate and pass in order to do it again to the next ten drivers in front of you, and maybe save 30 seconds for their effort. A big change from being the only car on a lonely western highway for a hundred miles. We arrived home in the early evening. ate, and hit the sack. Apollo began to dream about the hopefully snowy coming winter.
