We arrived in Thunder Bay in the midst of a heavy rain storm. As the streets flooded we decided to make a day of R&R in this industrial city of 100,000 people. We headed to the old Finnish neighborhood where we took in a Sauna at Kanga’s. It was the real deal- a sauna suite with a changing room with a cot, a shower room, a bathroom, and the sauna room. Not bad for $28. And if you’re hungry after the hour and a half you are given in the sauna, there’s a cute cafe on the premises. Ringwood needs such as operation.
That night we decided not to camp in the mud and stayed at the Old Country Motel in town.
