Joanne loves farmers’ markets. She will follow a path to a farmers’ market anywhere. It turned out that Thunder Bay has a very interesting market. There is an all year round market where you can find all kinds of local meats, fowl and fish (mostly frozen) but very good, woven goods, desserts (yum), etc. Breakfasts are served and people find their way to tables and chairs and often share the space. Canadians are usually very friendly and cooperative and if you are looking for a place to sit with your food, someone will say “sit with me”. The cooked food here is wonderful. The produce is what the farmers who have spend the entire season working on is here for the offering. And we took chicken, elk, organic chopped beef, tomatoes,  kale, onions, and cauliflower. Now we have a week’s worth of vigils.
