Dogs love beauty and I am no exception. The mountains surrounding Banff are really beautiful and the small town that is the hub is very charming. Mitch, however, complained that everything was very expensive. He kept shelling out “loonies” left and right. I wanted that stuffed coyote but he said “no way.” He wanted to hit the trails and we started up Sulfur Mountain. Boy was it a strenuous hike AND there was a black bear that kept making appearances on the trail. But when he caught sight of me he turned tail. When we reached the top we couldn’t face the downhill and took the gondola. My first time on a gondola!! I was very good. I am a big hit with the Chinese tourists who are amazed at how friendly I am.
