On Wednesday we paid a visit to Sidney, BC, a nice little Harbor town.
The Fish Market is the heart of the town.
The fish are freshly caught daily.
Senior housing right at the waterfront.

You can walk right out into the water.

Or walk your dog.

We caught the Ferry to the mainland, crossed the US border and drove straight to Seattle, where we crashed with Cousins Reggie, Richard, and Aunt Ruth. Richard trains regularly at Arcaro boxing gym in town and he invited Joanne to a session. She accepted. This is not your usual boxing gym. Tricia Arcaro (famous jockey Eddie Arcaro’s cousin) is the coach. An elite athlete for over 20 years Tricia represented the U.S. in the 1998 Women’s Rugby World Cup earning Silver. She started as an amateur boxer in 2002, amassing a record of 16-2 culminating in a National Championship Gold Medal in 2004. During her pro career, Coach Tricia earned an 8-4 record with epic battles versus Lisa Holewyne, Mary Jo Sanders, Holly Holm and Dakota Stone. She is a Buddhist, a fan of Frida Kahlo (her dog is named Frida), and a lover of the arts. Joanne says it was a fabulous experience. Judge from the pictures.

Really enjoyed having you in the gym!
