For 28 years the tiny village of Feakle in County Clare has been holding an international music festival which celebrates the musical heritage of East Clare. This year it went on round the clock from August 5th to 10th. Local and regional musicians showed up with their instruments and poured into the local pubs where they jammed together, and song and dance filled the room. Throughout the week storytelling and poetry readings, music and dance workshops, and concerts were held at various locations. Local pubs, St. Mary’s Church, and the larger Community Hall were the centers of all this activity.
