Finally, I got to do what I wanted to do, which is to run free on a beach. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, where we camped, does not allow dogs on the beach but the County Beach down the road does! I was so happy to be let free.
Oh Boy! I met a friend, a Golden Retriever named Lily. Together we chased the ball into the Gulf waters, which was starting to get a little rough. We heard that the weather was going to get very windy with rain and that there might be some tornadoes in the area. I didn’t care.
Lily and I shared the ball. She was very nice. So am I.
There were lots of birds on the beach too.
This is where we camped. It was pretty cool.
You can also rent a cabin that sleeps 6 for $100 a night. It has a boardwalk that takes you out to the beach.
At nightfall the winds started up and during the night they reached gale force and it rained very hard. Joanne and Mitch let me sleep with them. I am not sure who was more nervous.
