We rolled into Chico,CA on October 3 for a visit with our friends Wynder and Frankie. Both are artists and Frankie is a flea market maven who collects 1960’s memorabilia. He may have the definitive 60‘s collection of books, records, posters, etc. His collection also includes over 1000 photos he took as the unofficial photographer of the California scene. Frankie is the creator of “splatterdash” painting which have been taken for Jackson Pollacks.

Chico is a very neat town situated in north central California and it is the nut capital of the region with walnuts, almonds, and pecans falling from the trees wherever you walk. We don’t know enough about the other nuts to comment.
